Trellis Legal Research, Legal Intern, August 2023
"An individual of unwavering work ethic, a proactive disposition, and a fervent desire for personal and professional growth "
I am honored to write this letter of recommendation for Cayden Chen. I had the privilege of working
alongside Cayden as one of his supervisors at Trellis, our esteemed legal research firm located in Los
Angeles. Cayden joined Trellis as an Intern during the summer of 2023.

From initially meeting with Cayden, we were impressed by his professionalism and affable demeanor. During his tenure at Trellis, Cayden made an indelible mark on our team with his tenacious commitment to learning and his unwaveringly supportive attitude. Despite his relatively brief stay, Cayden willingly jumped into diverse projects, providing valuable assistance to our CEO, product team, content team, and sales team. Cayden displayed a knack for independently navigating multifaceted assignments, exemplified by his exceptional performance on the competitor project we entrusted to him.

What I found most commendable about Cayden's time with us was how quickly he picked up on tasks in our fast paced office, always underpinned by his ever-present smile. He enthusiastically embraced a myriad of projects during his brief tenure and seized every opportunity to absorb knowledge from our team members.

If you are seeking an individual of unwavering work ethic, a proactive disposition, and a fervent desire for personal and professional growth within your organization, I wholeheartedly recommend Cayden Chen without reservation.

"Cayden Chen is a young prodigy who has showcased extraordinary abilities during his time with UP.Partners. I have no doubt that he will excel in any environment he steps into"
I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Cayden Chen for any future endeavors he may choose to pursue. Cayden spent part of this summer interning at UP.Partners, a venture capital firm based in Santa Monica, California. Cayden left an indelible mark with his outstanding capabilities, dedication, and professional demeanor.

Despite being a high school student, Cayden displayed a level of wisdom and maturity well beyond his years. From the very beginning, he demonstrated a fearless approach towards his responsibilities, diving headfirst into any project that was handed to him. His ability to rapidly acquire and apply new skills was nothing short of remarkable. Complex tasks that would typically require a steep learning curve for many were promptly understood and executed by Cayden.

One of the most significant contributions Cayden made during his internship was his pivotal role in organizing our initiative to invigorate the local community about the future prospects of Santa Monica Airport. His keen insights, thorough research, and proactive approach helped us to create an impactful and compelling narrative.

Furthermore, Cayden showcased an exceptional knack for business strategy and planning. He was instrumental in building a comprehensive business plan for our new flight training venture, ensuring all aspects were meticulously analyzed and presented. It was evident from his work that he possesses a profound understanding of various business elements and can weave them seamlessly to create a cohesive plan.

In addition to the above, Cayden's proficiency in the technical domain was evident when he developed financial models and software tools tailored for our firm. These tools have significantly streamlined our processes, saving time and ensuring greater accuracy in our event planning operations.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Cayden's interpersonal skills are praiseworthy. He was a delight to work with, always emanating positivity, and was ready to collaborate, making him a cherished member of our team.

In conclusion, Cayden Chen is a young prodigy who has showcased extraordinary abilities during his time with UP.Partners. I have no doubt that he will excel in any environment he steps into, bringing the same drive, intelligence, and passion that we have been fortunate to witness. I highly recommend him without any reservations and look forward to seeing the incredible feats he will undoubtedly achieve in the future.

Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, Education Intern, March-April 2023
"We are grateful for your aptitude, work ethic, and collaborative approach to make lasting improvements at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum."
Dear Cayden,

Thank you again for volunteering your talents and intelligence in service of some needed projects at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. The research efforts you and Ray completed, along with the support of our summer camp program designs, paid important dividends in improving our guest experiences during a very busy year. Because of our need to operate in a financially constrained environment, we needed to optimize our existing materials to drive revenue, attract more new visitors, give guests who were already familiar with the museum a great reason to return, and inspire a new generation of guests through our summer camps.

As part of a collaborative effort, we pursued guest experience improvement projects that responded to the challenges described above with lasting and positive impacts. One project was designed with the specific goal to increase guest “intent to return” rates by designing new experiences that incentivized guests to come back to the museum multiple times throughout the year. The other project was to modernize the summer camp guest experience by mapping out each step of the camp experience to make any necessary adjustments or improvements.

The first project leveraged a set of stairs that were designed to enable guests to view the cockpit of a selected aircraft. Prior to your efforts, those stairs had been at the same aircraft for over five years. When we discovered that the same set of stairs could support other aircraft with cockpits at the same height above the ground, we knew that the content on the interpretive panels for those same aircraft needed up to updated if we were to draw attention to them in a positive light and offer guests the chance to learn and experience those aircraft in a more profound way. Cleaning those cockpits, making them accessible and viewable, and improving the descriptions of those cockpits and aircraft successfully created the desired experiences we had hoped for with measurable outputs to document the project’s success. The research and content you provided had a direct impact to improve the interpretive panels related to these critical aircraft.

The second project required empathy development for the summer campers and an understanding of their end-to-end experiences. With your perspectives, our Education Director was able to address gaps in the program, make necessary improvements, and deliver an amazing experience to a new group of summer campers this year.

Thanks to your collective efforts, you and Ray directly contributed toward enhanced experiences that advanced our mission, excited our guests, and created environments for the desired positive memories that will influence their desire to return. We are grateful for your aptitude, work ethic, and collaborative approach to make lasting improvements at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum.

Well done!

Warmest regards,
Tyson Weinert | President & CEO

Yamhill County District Attorney's Office, Legal Intern, November 2022
"Cayden possesses an innate
ability to understand the role
of a prosecutor, and the cases we handle, which is rare in someone who is as young as him."
Cayden came to our office, the Yamhill County District Attorney’s Office, as a shadow student. He was absolutely wonderful to have here. He always dressed appropriately, asked thoughtful and well-presented questions about our work, and was respectful and polite with everyone he met. Cayden showed a true interest in the jobs that are performed within the courthouse. By the end of his week with us, it was clear that Cayden possesses an innate ability to understand the role of a prosecutor, and the cases we handle, which is rare in someone who is as young as him.
